DOMINION PRODUCE.
AND BRITISH BOYCOTT. NOTHING OFFICIAL. VISITOR EXPRESSES OPINION. IBy Telegraph.*—Press Association] AUCKLAND, Ap:U 12. A refutation of any widespread official desire in Britain to boycott New Zealand goods because of the protection afforded local manufacturers was made by the British High Commissioner in Australia, Sir Geoffrey V hiskard, who arrived by the Awatea accompanied by liis daughter, Miss Mary Whisk ard.
“Any move by a sectional and probably representative interest to boycott New Zealand goods because of protection afforded by the New Zealand Government to the Dominion's own industries would be met at Home with the sharpest condemnation, not only by the Government and industry, but by public opinion. Of that lam quite sure,” he' said. “The old jealousies of the growth of secondary industries in other parts of the Empiro had disappeared. Inter-Empire trado would enotinuc to grow and the greater the world trade the botcr for all concerned, including the Empire.”
