CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
SEQUEL TO ACCIDENT. KNOCKED DOWN BY TAXI. NEGLIGENCE ALLEGED. IBy Telegrapn. —Press Association WELLINGTON, Feb. 18: Damages totalling £1792 were claimed in the Supreme Court yesterday b.y New Peko, a freezing works employee, for injuries received when he was knocked down by a taxi in Molesworth Street on June 2G. Defendants were Harry Kennedy, driver of the vehicle, and Alfred James Howard Pa ton, the proprietor.
Plaintiff alleged ■•negligence on : thp part of the driver, but the defence was that .(there was-no case, to, answer, •as there had been grossest negligence on the part of Peko. The case is continuing.
