BATHING IN THE WATER-RACE.

Sir,—l was very astounded at reading in last night's "Thames Star" of the seven lads seen bathing in the water-race near Karaka Eoad. It is hard enough at any time trying to drink Thames water, without having to drink it after youths have Bathed in it. The person who saw these youths is under a public duty to the rest of the inhabitants of Thames, and should report such to the proper authorities concerned and have the offenders dealt with accordingly. T only wish I had found them bathing in The water-race. —I am, etc., "A WATER DRINKER NO. 2." Thames, 22/12/37.
