WATERFRONT TROUBLE.
KOYAL COMMISSION WANTED. FARMERS' UNION RESOLUTION. [Jiy Telegrapti. -I'ress Association] TE KUITI, Dee. LI3. A request that a Royal Commission be set up to eonsidor labour conditions on the waterfront was made by the Northern King Country sub-provincial executive of the Farmers' Union. Or. V. W. Shnnis said that the position in Auckland was very unsatisfactory. ]t was never known when trouble would arise. The Government appeared to liave no control over the men, and was just as worried about the position as was the fanner.
