KOPU STOCK SALE.

DALGETY AND CO., LTD. GOOD YARDING OFFERED. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Kopu on Tuesday, when a good yarding of cattle was offered. A good entry of fat cows and heifers was in demand and sold at prices fully up to late quotations, while forward condition and store cows also sold well at late rates. A small entry of dairy cattle met with good competition for any sorts showing quality and condition. Poorer quality and cattle in low condition were not in demand. A small entry of pigs met with a ready sale, prices being in advance of late rates. Quotations: — Best fat cows and heifers, £6/10/to £7/15/-; others, £5/15/- to £6 7/6; lighter, £4/15/- to £5/10/-; killable cows, £3/10/- to £4/10/-; boner cows, £2/15/- to £3/5/-; cull cows, £l/10/- to £2/10/-; cow and runner at foot, £B/10/-; empty 2-year Jersey heifers, £3/2//C; best springing heifers £7 to £7/15/-; others, £6 to £6 17/6; springing cows, £4/15/- to £5 10/-; others, £3/15/- to £4; weaners, 12/6 to 18/-; medium porkers, £ 2/2/to £2/4/-; light, £l/18/- to £2/1/-; slips, £l/8/- to £l/12/6; others, £1 2/- to £l/5/-. HIKUTAIA SALE. MEDIUM YARDING. The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report having held their II ikutaia stock sale this week, when a medium entry of all classes of cattle came forward. There was a medium yarding of dairies which failed to elicit competition. Quotations: — Cattle: Heavy fat cows, £7/15/- to £B/2/6; medium, £6/5/- to £7/10/-; light, £5/5/-; heavy boners, £3/15/to £4/5/; lighter, £2/10/- to £3/5/-. Dairies: Jersey-cross cows in milk, to £9/5/-; Jersey-cross cows, close to profit, medium quality, to £6/10/-.
