Lord Tumciman, the well-known shipowner, celebrated his 90th. birthday on board his yacht Sunbeam 11. recently. He began his life at sea as a cabin boy, and at the age of 24 he was a captain. After sailing every sea, under steam and sail, he became a shipowner on the Tyne. Wfien the Groat War broke out he was one of the most important owners in the country.
