ACTION BY WIDOW.
THE HUNTER ESTATE. COURT ACTION TAKEN. MISMANAGEMENT ALLEGED. [By Telegraph.—Press Association] WELLINGTON, J'unc 18. Gross mismanagement of the estato of tho late Sir George Hunter was al leged in the Supreme Court yesterday by his widow, Edith May Hunter, against the trustees, Cyril Paul Hunter and Thomas Percy Hunter, nephews of deceased. Plaintiff is seeking their removal from the trusteeship because of her allegations, which are denied by them. Several grounds of action aro set out, and the case is expected to last a fortnight. The first witness, Oscar Monrad, ofarmer, land valuer and supervisor, of Palmerston North, said that he had inspected the Porangahau estate. He formed the opinion that there were too many leakages and Too much loss. Ho was not at all satisfied with the management. Having regard to the number of hands employed, the results wero nothing like what one might reasonably expect from an efficient station.
