THE NEW POLITICS.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —The Welfare League attempts again to impose on your readers an innocence that alas! just won't go dawn. Social credit, has as opponents, firstly, the financial credit monopoly with its servile minions, and secondly, those Rip Van Winkles whose only contribution to destiny is resistance to change. Must wo associate these "plaetical" Leaguer* with the matter? No, Mr. Editor, smoke screens won't servo in this case. And the elector will note that carping criticism, which, by the way, the Douglas Credit movement lias consistently encountered, is the chief feature of the League's effort, from practical men.
The elector has already expressed opinion on economics when he definitely 'voted out a Government committed to the debt system in favour of one whose election promises .were, to say the least, attractive to social creditors. That the Labour Government has, by its futile legislation, shown a total lack of appreciation of the situation as it exists, is no reason why its supporters should sit dumb for three years. Social creditors know that Labour election promises are capable of fulfilment, but only through the application of a sane money system which to date, in New Zealand, is conspicuous only by its absence. —I am, etc., "OPEN SESAME."
