Mr. R. 0. Crawshaw and family returned on Thursday from their annual holidays, spent at Cambridge. Mr. Ci. W. Knox, proprietor of the “Laurel” Dairy, Rolleston Street, was admitted to the Thames Hospital yesterday for observation in connection with internal trouble. Mr. W. G. Talbot, secretary of the Wellington Boxing Association for the last 26 years, is retiring.—P.A. Mr. C. Rayncr, who has been manager of the To Aroha branch of Hctheringtons, Ltd., has resigned after holding the position for the past 28 years. Mr. Rayner has been 45 years with the firm. Mr. K. S. Hetherington, eldest son of Mr. S. A. Hetherington, Thames, who has been for some years with the D.1.C., Wellington, one of the largest drapery importing firms in New Zealand, has returned to Thames and has been appointed to the position of sales manager of Messrs. Heiheringlons, Ltd. Prior to severing his connection with the D.1.C., Mr. JletheringtoH was the recipient of several presentations by the management and staff of the firm.
