GUARANTEED PRICES POLICY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 10
The Dairy Board has been requested by the Government to postpone the bringing into force of the proposed regulations for the control of the local market, slated the Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister for Agriculture, yesterday. This action had been taken, said Air. Martin, in order that the Government’s scheme of gua ranted prices might not be hampered by the putting into force of regulations that might subsequently be found to be conflicting. Somewhat similar circumstances also obtained in regard to export marketing, added the Alinistcr, and the Government had further requested that the Board’s deputy-chair-chairman, Mr. C. P. Agar’s visit to England should be postponed, in order that Air. Agar may,be available for consultation with the Government.
