Railway Revenue.
IMPROVEMENT SHOWN,

The general manager of railways, Mr. G. H. Mackley, announces that the gross revenue for the four-week-ly period ended December 7 was £535,639. an increase of £44,051 as compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. The expenditure for the period was £458,2fi0, an inerease of £27,424. The figures included the extra expenditure involved in the Ih per ~e,.t. ine.reP.se in salaries and wages.
