FINANCE ASSURED. PROFIT TO DATE, £SOOO. FIRST TEST YIELDS £2OOO FOR NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegraph.—Proas Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July io The takings on the New Zealand cricket team's tour of England to June 30, and the profit of £6700 derived from the art union run by the New Zealand Cricket Council in conjunction with the New Zealand Football Association, together leave the tour with a profit of about £SOOO. A report to this effect was presented to a meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council on Monday night. The treasurer stated that New Zealand's share of the takings for the Test match at Lord's was £2OOO. The total of the guaranteed gates for the tour was just ov-„-r £3OOO to date.
