NEW POST OFFICE.
A DEFINITE PROMISE.
FOR AN EARLY START.
The Mayor, Mr W. Bongard, informs us that in conversation with Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., the lat-
ter stated that he had an inter- ! view with the Postmaster-General, the Hon. J. B. Donald, and .was informed that a start would be made on the new Thames post office early m the financial year. It will be remembered that Mr Donald made this verbal promise on the occasion of his visit to Thames, and he is thus honouring it. There was £SOOO placed on the last Estimates on account.
