ENDjS IN RAZOR-SLASHING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Dec. 9. At the Police Court, Henry John Dent (63), wap charged with assaulting his wife by slashing her badly -with a razor. He was ordered , . to -come up for sentence within 12 months .-and to take out a prohibition order. The police described the case as a ■common domestic .squabble, Accused’s face-was scratchedln the disturbance, and, becoming, heated, he took a razor froiA a chest of draw--ers and slashed fhis wife, who was -sent to the hospital. ; , \ O ) Counsel .. said accused had some TJiquor, and,-returning home,Yound : his -wife the worse for liquor. ‘ She attacked him and he took the razor tc •protect himself.
