AT SALVATION ARMY ™||2Jg§ ' ON MONDAY EVEftljflHH On Monday evening, at Thames will have the witnessing the final children’s and to be presented 'H| Captain and Mrs. Wallace, the preseiff officers of the local eo-ps, before leaving Thames for pastures new early in January. This first-class programme is to be presented _in connection with, tho series of Sunday School Anniversary Services v being conducted at the Salvation Arifiy during the coming week-end. At 3 o.m. and 7 p.m, the children of the Sunday School will render their annual, songs, etc., at special services conducted by Sergt.-Major E. J. Rudd (Avondale) and Young Peoples Sergt.-Major H. J. Vaughan (Auckland). At the afternoon service the childreu of the beginners and primary deoartrpents will receive their annua’ awards. The anniversary services will lie concluded 1>3 T the display; on Monday evening and the presentation of prizes to the intermediate and senior denartments of the Sunday School. The neople of Thames who are really fond *of children’s entertainments should not miss this orogramrne. The boys are said to ,be a scream m “Macnamara’s Band,’, and the girlß in “The Musical Dinner’’ present something new. in musical items. The riding of “Salvation Lass” to victory by Mervyn Dodrell in “Captain Babv* Bunting of 'the Rocking Horse Brigade” is bound To bring Torth a cheer, and “The Flv rt gets into all sorts of mischief These, items together with rbsolays bv the Sunbeams Gymnasium: Squad and individual turns, will comprise one best- programmes presented locally to date.
