* ye Sprain and motor truck. " DRIVER’S NARROW ESCAPE. <3y Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 5. A motor truck driven by a married man named Buckley (who was on his first job after a long time of unemployment) was struck by the inward bound •train at Avondale level crossing this morning.
The driver had an astonishing escape being thrown clear of the truck-and picked up twenty yards away covered "with wreckage. His injuries are not serious.
The locomotive was damaged and •was unable to continue its jonmey.
