Cyril E. Salmon, a painter, aged 38, a single man of Donnelly’s Crossing, had breakfast yesterday Avith his brother, a recent arrival from Australia. He went to work in a shed nearby and later returned to tell his brother that he had taken spirits of salts by mistake. He was placed in a car and hushed to Te Kopuru hospital, 35 miles aAvay, but expired* on the Avay. An inquest will be held to-day.
