ASLEEP. IN A CAR.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association. 1 ) WELLINGTON, Aug. 14.
After attending a function at the Officers’ Club in honour of the officers of the French cruiser, Charles Stanley Clark was found in his car asleep, in an intoxicated condition,, and with another man also under the influence was arrested.
It was explained in Court that Clark had realised he was not in a condition to drive, and had therefore decided to rest in his car, but had fallen asleep.
The magistrate thought a fine would .meet the case, and imposed £2O.
