WAIKATO RIVER.
INSPECTION BY MINISTER, (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) PUKEKOHE, Aug. 14. Advice has been received l>v Mr. J. N. Massey. M.P.. for Franklin, that, the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. E. A. Random, will make r> tour of inspection of the Waikato River on Saturday next. He will Dave Huntlv by launch at 8 a.m. The visit Avill allow the Minister to become conversant with the affairs df the defunct Waikato Ri\'er Hoard, which sr. far remain unsettled. La?er in tho day it is expected the Minister Avill meet the ,settlers concerned, and representatives of Franklin, Waikato and Raglan Counties, and Mercer, which are supporting the request for a monetary grant from the Government.
