POLICE FIRE REVO TWEES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 14. There was a conflict on Sunday at ‘Apia between 250 coolieU on strike and the police, who fired two shots in the air and then several revolver shots in self-defence. There were 14 coolie casualties, four being wounded bv v bullets, one •seriously, and the remainder being injured bv batons.

Some Samoan and European police were slightly injured by stones.
