INCENDIARISM.

BULLS SHOP FIRED,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MARTON, Aug. 12.

Shortly before five o’clock this morning a fii'e was discovered in two places, the front and rear of the premises occupied by Mr V. Edhouse, a draper of Bulls. The brigade with their chemical engine suppressed the outbreak, but not before considerable damage had been done to the stock which suffered greatly from smoke and water.

Later it was found that a wooden panel of the rear door had been broken. There is strong evidence 1 of incendiarism. Mr Edhouse is at present in Christchurch. The estimate of damage and particulars of insurance are not available.
