SECOND-CLASS SLEEPERS:
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 10.
Mr G. C. Munns (Roskill) has asked the Minister of Railways to make provision for second-class sleeping accommodation on the Main Trunk line.
Railway Shops’ Overtime.
Mr Hogan (Rangitikei) has asked the Minister of Railways whether, seeing that overtime is being worked In the Otahuhu, Lower Hutt and East Town railway workshops, and this overtime is largely due to the withdrawal of men from East Town (Wanganui) shops and sending additional work to Otahuhu and Lower Hutt, he will consider the advisability of re-appointing men to East Town and thereby relieve congestion at two large shops and put into operation a sensible policy of distributing the work and u«ing the plant and space available
