ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report of the Hauraki Plains Co-operative Daily Company,. Limited, to be presented at the annual meeting at Turua, on August 15, states that during the year 567 tons 16 cwt. of cheese, 40 tons of creamery butter and 11 tons 13£ cwt. of whey butter were made. These figures show an increase over the previous season of 46 tons 13 cwt. of cheese, and a decrease in creamery butter cf 18 tons 65 cwt. The quality of the company’s cheese has been well maintained and during the oast seaoon it was placed second in the Hardier Shield competition for the whole of the Auckland Province with an average grade for the Government grading period of 93.174. The average grade for' creamery butter over the same period was 93.062. During the season the average advance payments to suppliers had been l/5.55d for cheese and i/4.85d for butter. It wap expected there would he an additional payment of 1.75 d for cheese and 1.9 d for butter. This, together with the payment of interest bn share capital at 6 per cent, would make the total payment for cheese l/7.58d, and for butter 1/7.

Details of manufacture with the corresponding figures for the previous season in parentheses, are as follows: —Cheese: Yield of cheese to milk, factory weights, 9.86 (9.84); yield of cheese to butter-fat, factory weights, 2.6812 (2.6825). Butter: Over-run, 21.62 (21.46). Whey butter: Total of wliey butter-fat recovered from every 100 lb. of butter-fat supplied, for cheese making, 4.447 (4.72). . The retiring directors, Messr#. S. S. Murray and A. H. Rogers, are eligible for re-election.
