NEW GOLF COURSE.
MR. REDHEAD’S VISIT. Mr Redhead, of Rotorua, visited Thames during the week to advise the Thames Golf Club on the laying out of a new course for next season, consequent on the alterations the Jockey Club has made to the racecourse. Mr Redhead’s plan and report will be placed before a meeting of the Golf Club, to be held next week, and, if adopted, vigorous steps will be taken to put the work in hand, so that play can open earljr in the season. A working bee of nine members spent some time at the course yesterday, getting the sand-boxes in order. Dr Gray briefly outlined Mr Redhead’s proopsals, which met with hearty approval.
