SPECIAL EDITION.
OF THE “THAMES STAR.” SOUVENIR OF THE BRIDGE. To-day we have circulated to every house 'in the district a souvenir of th e opening of the Hauraki Bridge. * The issue consists of twenty pages, well illustrated and with most interesting letter-press, and it will do its duty in linking up the various districts with the town of Thames.
Historical incidents in Turua and Ngatea are given, as well as those concerning Mercury Bay, Tairua, Hikuai, Whenuakite and Coroglen. No trouble has been too great in an endeavour to make the issue interesting to everyone, and it will meet, w e are sure, with much approbation.
Together with to-day’s “Star,” this is the biggest effort ever attempted by the “Thames Star.” Extra copies may b e had from the office on payment of sixpence.
