Mr. T.'W. Rhodes, M.P. ', -left this morning for the Tauranga celebrations. Mr. E. Dobson, formerly on the staff of the Bank of New Zealand, Thames, but for the last few years in the Fiji offices of the bank, has beeff transferred back to the Thames office, and-took up his duties to-day. Captain Daniels, Inspector of Fisheries for the Hauraki- Gulf, arrived in Thames last night, and to-day carried, out an inspection of the local fishing fleet: The Prime Minister and the Minister of Public Works have signified their intention of being present at the opening ceremony of the Hauraki Bridge.
