PARTED!

RUNAWAY COUPLE OF AORANGJ. * HUSBAND STAYS IN N.Z. (Special to Star.) AUCKLAND, March 27. A radio from the Aorangi this morning stated that Basil Stanley was not aboaud. This is not surprising, for he was seen in Queen Street to-day, his sole regret being that every turn of the Aorangi's -propellers put a wider gap between himself and his young" brile. There seems an even chance that Stanley will attain his ambition and get a chance to become- for a spell a New Zealand citizen, although the police in the meantime are taking no action. The Customs can only report his arrival to the Minister of Internal Affairs (in charge of passports), who has to decide what action is necessary, for though Stanley is here minus a passport, temporary permission to remain can be granted.
