The Auckland Racing Club’s two days’ Spring meeting opened at Ellerslie on Saturday in fine weather, before a large attendance. The track was in> good order. Results: GORDON HANDICAP (First Division). —1 Branson (Driscoll), 1; 2 Wild Pigeon (Jones), 2; 10 Nassock (Cammick) 3. Scratched: Satkin. Won by a length. Time: 1.41 3/5. GREAT NORTHERN GUINEAS.
