A MAORI DIOCESE.
RESOLUTION ADOPTED. ENTHUSIASTIC DIVINES. '(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Oct. ,26. The Anglican Synod adopted a resolution strongly recommending the (general Synod to form a new diocese for Maoris in New Zealand, and agreeing to any needed alterations in the boundaries of the Auckland diocese. .This was carried amid enthusiasm, the members springing to their feet and singing the Doxology. During the discussion, Archbishop Averill said he honestly believed the proposal .for a Maori diocese had no connection with the Ratana movement.
