HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-op. 'Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: At our weekly stock sale held in the Franlcton yards on Tuesday, 20th. October, we had a fair entry of steer and cow beef. There were no heavy cattle penned,'steer beef realised well up to last week’s rates, while fat cows and heifers all of medium quality did not reach the ruling rates of late markets. A moderate number of store and dairy cattle were offered and competed for up to. prices realised at other recent sales. A c small entry of sheejp were submitted without- any improvement. A good entry of fat pigs were offered without any alteration in the keen competition and values; stores an some parts lacked the demand of last week’s enquiries. Beef: Medium weight fat steers, £l4 12/G to £ls/12/6; good quality welldone light, £ls/10/- to £ls/12/6; welldone 2-year steers, £l2/12/6 to £l3 12/6; medium and plain steers, £l2 12/6 to £l4; medum weght cows, £9/5/to £10; light cows and heifers, £7/10/to £7/15/-; unfinished, £5/1/- to £5 15/-; small vealers and runners, £2/9/to £2/19/-; store cows, £2/8/- to £3/1/-; 2-year store steers,- £5/17/-; 2-year empty Jersey cross heifers, £4; yearlings, £3; best dairy heifers at profit, £lO/10/- to £l2/10/-; ordinary. £5 to £5/10/-.

WESTFIELD SALE. Messrs. Alfred Buck!and and Sons, Ltd., report:— At our weekly Westfield fat stock market we penned fat cattle numbering 453 head, comprising 229 steers, 221 cows and heifers, and three hulls. The entry again included several consignments of extra fine cattle. Extra fine steers and heifers sold at last' week’s rates; other classes again receding.
