The Hospital Board received a letter -from nine members of the honorary .staff of the Dental Hospital as a protest against the Board’s action requesting the Government to extend protection for unregistered dentists until the contemplated protective legislation is obtained. The staff claimed the right to /have been . consulted before action was taken on an ex-parte statement. The chairman (Mr Wallace) said it would be a sorry day when a policy would be dictated to the Board in such a manner. It convinced him the attitude of the Board toward unregistered , dentists was right. He moved that the ‘ resignations be accepted, adding if applications were invited "outside of the association, there would be plenty of ■replies. Other members protested that there ■ was no honorary dental staff, and urged that the whole thing be ignored. The Board resolved that the latter he received and no action taken.
