KURDISTAN REVOLT.
.MARTIAL LAW PROCLAIMED. (Sun Cable.) CONSTANTINOPLE, Feb. 25. Owing to the rapid extension of the Kurdistan revolt, the Government has proclaimed martial law in the thirteen Eastern provinces. Sheik Said’s rebels number 7000, and aim at forming a Kurdish State and restoring the Klmlifate. Government troops have surrounded the rebels on the north-east of Diar Bekir. The suddenness of the rising in these difficult regions is perplexing the Government. A Turkish flotilla bombarded the village of Haton, the home of Sheik Said, resulting in indescribable panic and considerable damage being done. TURKS BLAME GREEKS. (Sun Cable.) CONSTANTINOPLE, Feb. 25 'Phe Government ccuses the Greeks of inciting the Kurdistan revolt. Shiek Said declares his intention of proclaiming the son of the ex-Sultan Abdul Hamid as King. The gendarmerie have joined the rebels, who now number 20,000.
