THEFT ON RACECOURSE.
WOMAN CONVICTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Feb. 2G. In the Magistrate's Court, for a glaring case of the theft of £l9/10/- on the course on the first day of the WAnganui races, a woman named Lena Clapperton was sentenced to one year’s hard labour, to be followed by two years’ reformative treatment.
