WHAT OTHER TOWNS DO. ufiAZETTE NOTICES PUBLISHED. THURSDAY FOR THAMES. A perusal of the last Gazette in the /natter of half-holidays shows the following days are observed by Boroughs jof the Dominion: Wednesday. The following towns observe Wednesday:—Dannevirke, Levin, Te Awa•mutu, Whakatane, Arrowtown, Hampton, Hokitika, Palmerston, Ross, Eastbourne, Foxton, Morrinsville, Pahia--,tua, Patea, Shannon, Waipawa, Woodville, Gore, Kumara, Lawrence, Mata■iira, New Brighton. Queenstown, Riverton, Sumner, Tapanui, AVaikou;Jaiti and AVinton. Total, 28. Thursday. The following Boroughs observe •Thursday as the half-day:—Akaroa, -Rrumner, Gisborne, Oliakune, Raetihi, ■Taihape, Thames, Roxburgh, Temuka, Waimate. Total, 10. Saturday. The following observe Saturday: Waihi, Alexandra, Motueka, Paeroa, Rotorua, Balelutha, Bluff, Cromwell, Naseby and Richmond. Total, 10. Town Districts. In town districts there are 20 observing Wednesday, 10 Thursday, and 16 Saturday. It will be seen from the above that the popular half-holiday is AA ednesday for Boroughs and Town Districts. Ih Counties, 62 observe Wednesday (Thames County is amongst them), .49 Thursday, and 16 Saturday.
