BICYCLE THEFT.
POVERTY PLEADED.

David William Fisher aged 18, pleaded guilty this morning to the theft of a bicycle alleging he had sold it to get food, because his wife and cliM were .starving. Fisher was further charged with having stolen at Trentham in December, 1923, the sum
of £247, tlie property of James Tracy. The accused was remanded on both
cliagres and bail was refused,
