ROOSEVELDT NOMINATED.
GOVERNOR OF NEW YORK. SUBSTANTIAL MAJORITY. (Reuter.) NEW YORK, Sept. 25. Mr Theodore Rooseveldt, AssistantSecretary of the Navy, and son of the former President, has been nominated for Governor of New York by the Republican State Convention. He had a majority over the combined votes of the other three competitors; Colonel William Hayward, Guy Moore, District Attorney, and the Supreme Court Justice, Arthur Tomkins. * THE DEMOCRAT’S NOMINEE. CA. and N.Z. Cable.) NEW YORK, Sept 26. Alfred E. Smith has been nominated by tho Democrats. He will be a candidate for re-election 'for the Governorship of New York State.
