BAKER AND LODGER. AUCKLAND, September 7. A story of a midnight struggle was told at the Police Court when William Walter Anderson was charged with having assaulted William Ferguson. Sergeant Rowell said the accused was a baker and at his residence near the bake-house, boarded a lodger named Ferguson. The accused sent a message to his wife that he wanted her at the bake-house and she arrived there in company with Ferguson whom the accused attacked with' a dough knife.
