AERIAL ARMADA.
AMERICAN DEMONSTRATION. CA. and N.Z. Cable). NEW YORK, Aug. 21. A telegram from Bangor, Maine, states that 16 army martin bombers arrived from Hampton, Virginia, fly in o- northward along the eastward seaboard 800 pules in 8| hours. The aerial armada flew in various serial formations. These manoeuvres are understood to be an intentional demonstration of the essentiality. of an air service and also showing the vulnerability of the Atlantic Coast as an argument for an increased aerial armament.
