PRECAUTIONS AGAINST ESCAPE (A. and N Z. Cable.! BERLIN, July 24. The greatest precautions are being taken to ensure that the Princess Hohenlohe will not escape. The authorities have reason to believe that powerful friends are exerting their utmost to get her out of prison. Each time she is taken before the judge she is blindfolded to prevent her becoming acquainted with the corridors and outlets of the prison. SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT (A. and N.Z. Cable.! BERLIN, July 25. When sentencing Princess Hohenlohe to six months’ imprisonment, the judge pointed out that the'trial had proved beyond all doubt a close intimacy between the Princess and the escapee. A political offence such as the leaders of any organisation might commit had not any relation to personal honour, but Erhardt had committed a mean trick in perjuring himself and persuading the Princess to do likewise. A sequel to the imprisonment of Princess Hohenlohe is the arrest of Baron Buschlohe and the Baronefes, who is an Englishwoman. Thev are charged with being concerned in effectin' 1, the escape of Erhardt. The couple were completely surnrised. and did not submit without a struggle.
