KOPU FERRY.

(To the Editor.) Sir. —Your correspondent “County Ratepayer,” is quite right in his letter on the concessions allowed in crossing over on the Ivopu ferry. It appears to me that everything the Thames wants the County is in sympathy with. This red-tape business wants stopping; either make the ferry pay or stop it altogether. If the same trouble and expense was put to some useful work, say some of our roads and bridges, we would not be wishing winter was over. I am, etc., G. SCANLON. Ka there.
