HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report that at Hamilton on Tuesday, June 13, they had a fair entry of cattle but only a moderate yarding of sheep and pigs. Beef was in plentiful supply and sold at equal to last week’s rates. Steers, light weight, made from £4 to £4 ss; cows and heifers were primer quality than the steers and made from £4 to £5 for the best. Light and second grade £2 10s to £3 10s. The advertised 34 year bullocks (stores) made from £3 2s to £3 10s, selling under good competition up to these figures. Rough steers, same age, £1 10s; year steers, good quality, £2 12s 6d to £2 L7s 6d; fresh empty cows made from Cl 10s to £2; young cattle and calves vere in small supply and sold at recent values. Fat wethers, light weights, made to 255; fat ewes to 22s for prime heavy sheep; light ) weights but young and good quality, 19s to 20s; store lambs, 10s 9d to 12s. The yarding of pigs was composed chiefly of porkers and light baconers. Prices were easier than last week at the opening of the sale but improved considerably towards the end, stores selling in advance of later rates.
