MUCH RIOTING. HEAVY CASUALTY LIST. CAi and N.Z. Cable). CAIRO, Dec. 27. There has been continued rioting and so far'l7 people have been killed and over-50 injured in Cairo. There have also been casualties in other towns. A majority of the Government officials are striking, but the strike is not expected to last more than three days. Cab horses and taxi-ears have been withdrawn owing to attacks by roughs. There have been several attempts at incendiarism which the troops prevented.

Among the dead is a well-known professor, John Orth, who claimed to' be the Austrian archduke who disappeared mysteriously years ago. Orth was stabbed several times in the back.
