During the holidays local bowlers had fwo strenuous days on their greens a\ b eu About. 22 teams entered and alter some a progressive pairs tournament was held, veiy close ' games the winning skip turned up in G. Cordes with seven wins while W. Bongard secured the prize for the best leads with six wins and a loss. The president of the Olubl, Mr. H. Lowe, at the close of ther- tournament presented the winners’ 1 with their prizes and the members sang ‘‘For They Are Jolly Good Fellows,” and accorded them three Hearty cheers.
