PARLIAMENTARY VISIT.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. THE PROPOSED ITINERARY. At the last meeting of the committee appointed to mako arrange- \ ments for the proposed Parliamentary visit, the members present sketched a tentative itinerary to put before a full meeting of delegates, _ and afterwards to to Ministers for, approval. The expenses will be shared by tho different bodies participating in the reception of the delegates. Among the places on the route of the proposed tour are:—Morrinsville, Tahuna, Patetonga, ELaiheTe, Maramarua, Waitakaruru, Plpiroa,y Turua, Ngatea, Kerepeehi, Hikutaia, Nethertlon, Puke public vorka Bites, and To Aroha. No definite route has been settlei yet. Mr. Massey, in the course of his letter replying to the invitation to bo present, said: "I very much appreciate 'lie courtesy extended to me, but afc the same time I am afraid that ib will not ..be possible for me to have the pleasure of accompanying the delegation in view of the difficulty of my being able to absent myself from Wellington for Borne little tiiwe alter Parliament closes. I shall, however, be glad to bear the matter in mind when my itinerary for the early part-of next year is under view. In the event of my finding . it possible to accept tihe invitation, I shall be glad to let you know." Tho Hon. D. H. Guthrie, Minis* iter*of Lands, in a letter, said: -li am endeavouring to make ments to accompany tho party, and that if I am prevented from doing so, I intend to make a special visit to the district early in th e year in " my capacity as Minister of Lands." The Hon.»J. Q. Coates, Postmas-ter-General and Minister for Public Works, wrote: "Provided" my duties . permit, I shall have much pleasure in accepting , the invitation."

The Hon. W. Nosworthy, Minister of Agricultures .replied that: "Owing to the very heavy engagements I am already committed to .... it will be quite impossible for me to have the privilege of accompanying the Parliamentary delegation." Acceptances have been received from Messrs. A. Harris (Waitemfcj,.- V: H. Potter (Roskill), E. Newman (Manawatu), G. W. Forbes (Hurunui), the local members (Sir William Herries, Messrs. Rhodes and Poland),. Messrs. J. A. Young (Waikato), W. A. Yeiteh (Wanganui), and R, F. Bollard (Raglan). The Minister of Defence Hopes to be present, but cannot say definitely if he can attend. The Hon. G. J. Parr cannot atteend. The Hon. Sir Frederick Lang, Kt.', Speaker of the House, Colonel G. Mitchell (Wellington South), and Mr. G. R. Sykes will- be present if possible. ■ . . -
