AMUSEMENTS.

THE KING’S.

The big picture to-night at the King’s entitled “Maciste in Love” is one that in many ways departs r from the beaten track. Maciste is shown as a member of a picture producing -

company, and the plot is' woven round the life of the studios and the actors themselves. As in “Cabiria” and “-Maciste” the Italian star’s two previous world-beaters, feats of superhuman strength form part of the daily .work. In one. scene, for example he gets six full-grown men and c-alfnly walljs away with them over his shoulder. Macisto shows that in matters of the heart his size and strength do not prevent him being as susceptible to feminine charms as the average man.
