FATAL EXPLOSION.

PALMERSTON NORTH, August 4,
An explosion of gelignite occurred in the tunnel at the Mangahoe hydroelectric works yesterday. Alexander Murdoek, aged 33, was killed instantly and Michael Lynch received serious facial injuries, and will probably lose his sight. Murdoek, was married six weeks ago.
