THE KING’S
Many pictures have '.dealt with the story of’a girl who married to save her mother—but the> big picture at the King’s to-night “The Daughter Pays” from the novel by Mrs. Baillie Reynolds, deals with the subject from an entirely new viewpoint. ,Tbe mother in this case practically sells the girl and the daughter pays the price. She is tempted to break away from the bond which hinds her to the man much older than herself, but she remains true and pays in full. The picture is classed as a powerful dramatic story of - domestic life giving an opportunity to the clever star Elaine Hammer stein to do excellent work. \
