The outward correspondence was read and approved. 1 Amongst the inward correspondence were the following letters :' From W. Herivel, relinquishing the piece of ground held by him in the magazine reserve. —Received. From Technical School s acknowledging receipt of donation of £2 2s, and asking the Board to appoint a member to the advisory committee. —Deferred for consideration. From 'H. H. Adams, applying for a lease of 10 acres- of tihe foreshore at the mouth of Karaka Creek for a period o? 10 years at- a rental of £10 per year.-* Referred to local members for report to next meeting. From Minister of Marine, notifying the appointment of Mr H. o'. Cooper to represent the County of Piako on the Bp.-ird.—Received. t From Thames Fishermen's Union, bringing under notice the necessity Tor moorings in Kauaeranga Greek, also the re-instalment "of the "lamp post" light, and a light on the steps at the Goods wharf.—Referred to local committee to report at next meeting.

HARBOUR MASTER'S REPORT. Captain Bayldon reported in deiail upon a number of works carried >.at during the month. The revenue collected for the month was. as follows : — Wharfage £100 6s, port charges 6s 2d, rent £7 ss, water £3 16s, tolls £2 7s, slip charges 19s, crane dues £1, total £115 19s 2d —The report was adopted. GENERAL BUSINESS. Accounts amounting to £140 Bs. were passed tor payment. On the motion of Mr Court, seconded by Mr Law, it was decided to 1 refer the matter of establishing a convenience for ladies at •Shortland wharf to the local members, to report ait next meeting. .
