Hon. Mr Fisher, of New Zealand, interviewed, expressed satisfaction at the success of his mission. He pointed out that "Australia had not made aay concession to New Zealand over foreigners, not even allowing five per centum preference givten to many British goods. There had been certain difficulties at arriving at an agreement, but they had not proved insuroimmtable. Re believed the result of their labours if ratified by Parliaments would be hailed Avith satisfaction by the commercial community.
