(Mt Bhodes was then seized and despite his protest, he was *, carried shoulder high up and down the street, a. large crowd following and oheanug while "For He's a Jolly Good F-M----low" was sung with much gusto. Fm many minutes Mr Rhodes was subjected to a reception that was most enthusiastic and the 'cheering war continued until the candidate, - whr had a strenuous day, was forced tc I seek shelter.
